Pillar Church,
First, thank you for your generosity since we launched in April of 2022. It has been an amazing year and God has done exceedingly and abundantly more than I could have ever thought. I am grateful to the Lord and to you, the members of our church. As I said during our member’s meeting, our mission is to be a healthy church that makes and equips disciples for the glory of God. That is to say, we want to see spiritual fruit. This is not always measurable and is often only evidenced in the testimonies of changed lives. We do not ever want to worship numbers or make statistics the measuring stick of faithfulness. With that said, we can celebrate changed lives and a healthy growing church, which the Lord has done over the past year. We have seen 15 people baptized, over half of our membership being discipled in a small group setting, as well as at least 30 people engaged in a D-Group where intentional discipleship relationships are happening! Additionally, we have seen continued growth in our worship service attendance and our theology classes on Sunday mornings. Let’s keep going! Our mission, vision, values and focus does not change as we head into year 2.
On this page you will find our proposed budget that would run from April 1, 2023-March 31, 2024. A couple of things to note:
The elders have prayed and diligently worked to put together a budget that is faithful to what God has called us to do and who He has called us to be as a church. The categories and numbers you see are a reflection of much prayer and hard work as we seek to lead you, our flock! We would love for you to affirm and follow the direction we believe the Lord is leading us by voting yes on this proposed budget.
Your continued obedience to the Lord in the area of financial generosity is vitally important. Jesus had much to say about money and how it can hold us captive and keep us from the freedom that a love of money robs from us. Giving is a spiritual discipline that is good for you! That’s why the Lord asks us to do it. We are not asking for money to meet our budget, we are asking you to give as an act of worship for the Lord and as you do, your individual impact for the Kingdom of God and our collective impact as a church will continue to grow! So, if you are not yet giving, please consider starting! Our obedience has to start somewhere. You have the opportunity to be a part of what God is doing in and through our church as you give and it will be a blessing to you, our community, and the world as that money is used in service to God. This could be an opportunity to work on increasing your giving! You might look at this proposed budget and think, “Wow! That’s not very much.” Or, you may think, “That’s a lot!” Either way, you have a part to play in seeing our church continue to seek to fulfill her mission, and your generosity plays a part.
